A Letter from the HCSAZ.ORG President...
Sheila Tobias, HCSAZ.ORG President

Welcome (and Welcome back) to the Harvard Club of Southern Arizona!

If you live (or winter) in Southern Arizona please consider joining the HCSAZ, which is part of the Worldwide Harvard Club structure. Our members include a broad range of alumni and alumnae from Harvard/Radcliffe College and Harvard’s graduate schools of Law, Business, Medicine, Architecture, Divinity, and the Kennedy Center, as well as those who studied at any other Harvard program.

Our monthly luncheon programs are held the third Thursday of the months of October, November, January, February, March, and April at a private room at The Arizona Inn with announcements and requests for sign ups two weeks before. Prices are $30 for all comers.

In addition, we will watch the Harvard/Yale football game in November, and this year enjoy a Holiday High Tea with lecture on December 10 in the afternoon, and an all-Radcliffe event in the spring.

Our Harvard Book Club began in 1999. The club meets the first Monday afternoon of each month in winter. We also typically schedule one or two summer meetings from June to October. Meetings are held alternately at members’ home in the Tucson area. Members (who all have some connection with Harvard, or are guests) come to a many or as few of the meetings as they wish. Obviously, attendees are expected to have read the books under discussion the days they attend.

Please contact George Timson ’67  for an invitation or for more information:

Interviewing/Welcoming Applicants. Members interested in meeting applicants to Harvard College are advised to contact Lindsey Brew.  Once Harvard has “spoken, The Club entertains Admits (as we call them) to which Members are invited, so we can get to know them, and they us.
